We observed our Junior Ambassadors in 2025, we have the kindest kids out there! We are super proud of that and so many did not even ask for the points. We have layered in other ways to earn points instead.

No, they are welcome to submit any essays regarding their experience or the essay they are required to submit to be considered for the title for points.

You get 1 point per show. You will need to submit the show bill with the show secretary or office manager’s signature for the point.

Saddle sore is miles you are sitting in the saddle or in a cart/carriage. Please keep in mind this does not include shows, lessons, or parades. You will get points for those things already. 25 miles = 5 points (tracker must be submitted to receive points)

Get grounded is the hours you spend with your horse. Lunging, brushing, showmanship, and hand walking. Time your horse is in your hands and your feet are on the ground. Please keep in mind this does not include time cleaning after them, holding for vet and farrier or shows, lessons or parades. You will get points for the vet/farrier in the form of a health record you can keep throughout the year. You will get points for shows, lessons, and parades as well. 25 hours = 5 points (tracker must be submitted to receive points)

No, these are recognized through the 4H program.

We will not be recognizing breed registries or barn clubs. Must be equine related program (if you are wondering reach out, we will be happy to give you an answer.) Clubs like 4H, YEDA OAATS, CMSA NBHA, pony club, northern Ohio dressage Associate, etc.

The committee views work as paid time, which is different from volunteer time.

This is once a year to keep it fair for all Junior Ambassadors. Some schools are on semesters, some are on trimester and some are on quarters. Please submit their final report card of current year (May/June usually).

YES! They can get points with the different activities for age 5 and under as well as any other activity you feel they can safely enjoy.
